When I start this in December 2019 I really did not realize how big this project would turn. I don't regret starting and now I'm on the ending side of the build.
I made a post before this forum was put together so I'm not going to go over what was posted (Work in progress on the Jagdtiger 1/16 scale). But I will post more of the work here till it's finished. Below is the some of the picture
Some pictures straight from the phone (then I took them down to resize to large size to save space) but nice to know this can be done.
Making a little more headway as the road wheels are on and the hubs are just dry fit. Tracks are ready for the next few steps and the rear fenders are on.
I managed to get more done last night. Now to start working on the upper hull
Started working on the rear doors and the is a lot more PE work there. The doors are together and started bending and installing the metal parts.
Rear doors completed and ready to be fitted into place and then start on the the front plate and the rest of the inside. Soon it will be time to primer the the upper hull, leaving tools and cables off till the end.
Been working on the upper hull and roof section and still have a very long way to go. This was just some dry fitting before moving onto the rest of the roof. Will be getting close to primer soon.
She's a little over 2 feet long and right now I'm putting on all the inside and outside items that will be the body color and interior white. (the ax is just a dry fit as it will be painted off the vehicle). There is a lot of small parts at this time which is taking some time to clean up, dry fit then make changes if needed before installing.
A lot of small work inside and out before paint, I was
able to get a little primer painting done before getting back on to the PE handles.
Working on the tools and another parts today, still have more work to do on all of them.
Just the work from today.
About finished with the tools and such. I'll be spraying some with chipping medium so they will get the body and camouflage on them and then chip away. The side mount tracks are about completed the final weathering will be at the end of the build.
I'm still on the fence with the MG... just might change up something just not worried about it right now.
Finished off some the ammo stowage and forgot about one of the of the tools. So it's being worked on as well, and I took the time to take a picture of it before each step. Also got a new S20 Ultra and tried the close up on a plastic part.
Finally sprayed the primer inside and out, and it was a lot of primer 😋
Next is to spray the interior white and then comes the outside base color, then the dark green camouflage. I still have all the tow cables to put together and a few other small parts.
Jumping ahead a few days to show the progress of the upper hull with a little work on the lower hull. Just going with 2 tone camouflage, this is just the start and still have more I'm going to do to this Jagdtiger camo.
This is all dry fitting here at this time
