First off I clean up the parts seam lines and sand all the surfaces with 600 grit sand paper, then airbrush Tamiya NATO black. From there you can either airbrush or brush on Vallejo Metal "Burnt Iron".
Second I used "AK's Track wash" over the burnt iron
The last step you can use whatever rust wash you prefer to use and add a pinch of "Brown Iron Oxide Pigment Powder" and "Fresh Rust Pigment Powder". I use a water bottle cap and place the rust wash and pigments into it and then thin it down back then mix lightly. Then apply and let dry.
Then pictures are from the steps using burnt iron to the end. The manifold I left off the track was and used Vallejo Metal "Exhaust Manifold" instead of burnt iron then the last step was the same mix.
