Greetings all;
Here is my current build. Was working on the AFV Club Tiger 1, in 1/35th, but put it on hold. Waiting on some items in the mail.
Started the Panzer III a couple of weeks ago. Have to say its a very nice kit. Did replace the tracks with Master Club and changed out machine gun barrels with brass offerings from Aber and Master Model.
Here's whats completed so far.
Nice looking build
How is the fit with the kit? like anything to watch out for?
With this kit, your better off with aftermarket tracks. No fit issues, that I found, but if your build techniques are like mine (I build in sub assemblies) your better off. Instructions aren't very busy in my opinion. There were som minor gap issues that can be fixed with a little putty. It seemed to just fall together. 1 minor thing are the road wheels. Kind of tricky but not bad. Get this kit if its available. Well worth it. Also no clear parts. Hope this helps.
Here's a small update on the Blitz Models Panzer III M.
Got the Schurzen partially done.. Treated it first with isopropyl alcohol, let it dry and brushed on a coat of Mr.Metal Primer R. Then primed it Mig One Shot Brown Oxide Primer. Then a coat of Mig RAL 7028 Mid War Dunkelgelb, that was then modulated by adding a little bit of Mig Matt White to the Dunkelgelb that was in my airbrush, from there, I airbrushed the camo with Mig RAL 8017 Schokobraun, and Mig RAL 6003 OliveGrun. It was the coated, Schurzen and vehicle with Mig Satin Lucky Varnish. Markings will be added next, and I will paint them on with a variety of Eduard and Alliance templates and stencils. More to come.
More progress on the Blitz Models Panzer III M. Got some wear, tear and weathering done. Used Mig's vehicle wash as well. Test fitted the tracks, what do ya think? 🤔
I think its enough sag. Don't want to go too much. More to come soon..
Let me know what ya think..🤔
Going to start weathering and damaging the Schurzen soon.
Looks to be good any more and it would throw the tracks way too easy.
looking forward to seeing the weathering 👍
