I was looking at the jack block and handles and saw no wood grain. So I made it using 250 to 400 grit sanding boards and only going in one direction with different pressures being applied.

Then a light sanding to remove the raised areas, then sprayed primer flat black then AK wood base. Letting it dry then adding AK wood wash after that dries it's onto other wood colors to get the effects I'm looking for.
